Speaker's brief:
Hector Rodriguez

Hector is a media scholar and digital artist. His animated movie RES EXTENSA received an award in the category of digital moving images at the Hong Kong Art Biennial 2003. His essays on film and media have been published in various international journals and conference proceedings. He is currently Artistic Director of the Microwave International Media Art Festival and Associate Professor and BA Program Leader at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

羅海德

羅海德是傳媒學者及數碼藝術家，他的動畫電影RES EXTENSA曾於2003年香港藝術雙年展數碼移動影像組別獲奬；他撰寫的電影論文曾刊登於多份國際期刊及會議學報之中。他現為香港城市大學創意媒體學院學士學位課程負責人及副教授，並為微波國際媒體藝術節的創作總監。

Mwkm

Immediately after finishing his first computer graphics program on a Radioshack TRS-80 at the age of 12, Mike discovered that the computer keyboard was his paintbrush. He was subsequently trained in science and engineering, but has always believed technology as a creative medium. He has worked in the high-end post-production industry as a special effects supervisor and one of his award-winning works in the movie “The StormRiders”, it is still recognized as one of the best visual effects work ever done in Hong Kong. He is now an Assistant Professor at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, where he teaches mainly digital animation.

Mike is also a visual artist, his recent works focus on appropriation of technology for developing new techniques to visualize unseen and impossible spaces. Here is his personal web site URL : http://www.mwkm.net.

Mwkm
十二年歲便於Radioshack TRS-80完成其首個電腦圖像課程；那時的他已發現電腦鍵盤是他的最佳畫筆，隨後他接受過科學及工程的訓練，一直相信科技是創作媒介之一。他曾於高科技的後期製作工業中從事特別效果指導員，其中一個得奬作品為電影「風雲」，此作品亦視為其中一部本地的最佳視覺效果的電影。他現時為香港城市大學創意媒體學院的助理教授，亦是一位視覺藝術家，他新近的作品集中於採用合適科技，開發新的技術去顯示看不見及不可能的空間。他的個人網址為http://www.mwkm.net.
